Our Name

A fictitious city, from the famous book, The Prophet, written by Khalil Gibran, a famous Lebanese-born poet and philosopher. Notwithstanding the all-important influence of his background and heritage, Gibran owed much of his success to the country which received him as a young immigrant at the turn of the century. A world of possibilities was opened up to him by the dynamism and materialism of the American way of life, giving rise to the unique East-West synthesis which Gibran's work represents. Orphalese is thought to have represented his ideal city, bridging the divide between East-West cultures.

Similarly, we view Orphelis Technologies as a bridge between traditional distribution channels for IP and future digital distribution channels. We provide the bridge to the future of scalable revenue-enhancing licensing, rights, and royalty management in the digital realm. This future is highly desired especially when compared to the current state of affairs most intellectual property owners and licensors face using static disconnected homegrown systems.
